Tools to get through the mess without sacrificing or abandoning yourself
Carrying the weight of the world and still trying to show up? Join us for three hours of real tools for finding your ground — without shutting down, burning out, or losing yourself in the process.
The world is heavy right now.
Not metaphorically — actually, physically heavy. People in our community described their nervous systems as overloaded.
They talked about feeling empty, hollowed out, paralyzed, while simultaneously still showing up. For their families, their communities, their causes.
Still trying to be a source of something good.
If you're the person everyone else leans on, that weight has a new layer to it right now…
It's not just your own life you're carrying. It's the fear for your children, your community, what's happening to people you'll never meet but grieve anyway.
You’re waking up to a new crisis every day, checking the news while you’re still in bed and feeling the weight of it settle onto your chest before your feet hit the floor.
Exhausted from trying to stay informed without being consumed. From trying to care without losing yourself. From holding space for everyone around you while quietly running out of your own.
And underneath all of it: the fear that if you slow down long enough to actually feel it, you might not be able to get back up.
What You're Feeling Is Real
You're not imagining how hard this is. Please don’t let them gaslight you into believing that what you feel isn’t real.
You are not overreacting. You are not being dramatic.
One in five people in our community named the state of the world — the political climate, the daily weight of the news, the quiet dread that never quite goes away — as the thing that's actively making it harder to be themselves.
You don't want to go numb. You want to stay engaged, stay caring, stay yourself…
That's the harder thing. And that's exactly what we're here for.
There's another way through. And it's more accessible than you think.
"A lot of what I learned was about creating a relationship with myself that I didn't have before. When you can be honest with yourself and come home to yourself, that gives you the ability to go out in the world in a different way — to be curious, not only about yourself, but about how you navigate and react to life."
Deirdre O'Neill
This Is What Untangle Is
Untangle is a 3-hour live workshop designed to give you real, practical tools for navigating hard times, without shutting down, burning out, or abandoning the parts of yourself that matter most.
When the world gets scary, most of us default to one of two modes:
- We take on too much — absorbing everyone’s pain, trying to fix what can’t be fixed, running on adrenaline and outrage
- We check out — numbing, scrolling, avoiding, while feeling guilty that we’re not doing more
Neither one is sustainable.
Here's what it looks like in practice: You read something in the news and feel that familiar tightening in your chest. Instead of scrolling past it or spiraling into it, you pause. You name what you're feeling and where you feel it. You ask: is this mine, or am I carrying something larger? You find the truth — one sentence, no story attached. And you choose where to put your energy next. That's the practice. That's what we're building together.
Because what you need aren't more strategies for managing the chaos…
You need tools for recognizing what's actually yours to carry and what isn't. Practices for feeling the difference in your body, not just thinking it in your head. A way to identify where you can take meaningful action and where holding on is only draining you. And the inner resources to actually do it — without guilt, without shutting down, without abandoning the parts of yourself that make you, you.
Because when you have that, you don't just cope. You find your way back to yourself so you can respond with clarity instead of reacting from fear.
Here's what we mean by practical tools:
You'll leave this workshop knowing how to feel the difference (in your body, not just your head) between what's yours to carry and what isn't.
You'll have a simple framework you can use the same afternoon when something triggers you, a relationship strains, or the news cycle pulls you under again.
You'll know how to name what you're feeling, locate it in your body, and move through it — instead of pushing it away or being pulled under by it.
Why This Workshop
When we asked what people needed most, the answers were consistent: clarity, tools they could actually use, and a way to stop living in survival mode. That's what this is built for.
You'll leave with:
- A framework for working through hard moments — something you can actually use when you're in it, not just in hindsight
- A felt sense of what's yours to act on and what you can set down
- Practices for your nervous system including simple healing movements and creating an inner sanctuary
- Clarity on where to put your energy — and where you've been leaking it
This isn’t a lecture. It’s a guided practice session. You’ll leave with tools you can use the same day.

What You'll Experience
In this workshop, HeatherAsh Amara and Sarina Harz-Tolbert will guide you through The Warrior Heart Practice:
- The Feeling Chamber: how to be with what's alive in you without being consumed by it
- The Story Chamber: identifying the narratives running your nervous system right now
- The Truth Chamber: separating what's real from what your mind is making up
- The Intent Chamber: finding your one clear next step when everything feels urgent
- What's yours / what's not yours: a somatic practice for feeling the line
- Compassion vs. enmeshment: how to stay open-hearted without hollowing yourself out
Part 1: The Feeling Chamber
Led by HeatherAsh Amara & Sarina Harz-Tolbert LCSW
This hour starts with what's actually happening in your body right now. HeatherAsh and Sarina will guide you through the first chamber of the Warrior Heart Practice: naming what you're feeling, understanding what it's telling you, and learning to be with it without being swallowed by it.
From there, the work gets specific. What are you actually carrying right now, and how much of it came from somewhere else? There's a difference between compassion and enmeshment, between caring deeply and absorbing everything around you until you can't find yourself underneath it. You'll learn to feel that difference in your body, not just understand it intellectually.
You'll leave this hour with language for what you've been experiencing and a body-based practice you can return to any time the weight feels too heavy.
Part 2: The Story & Truth Chambers
Led by HeatherAsh Amara
This is where the untangling happens.
HeatherAsh will guide you through the narratives your mind has been building around what's happening — the stories that feel like facts, the explanations that feel like reality, the beliefs that have been quietly running your nervous system. Then she'll show you how to find what's actually true underneath all of it.
The truth, in the Warrior Heart Practice, is simple. One sentence. No justification, no blame, no story attached. Most of us have never been taught to speak that plainly to ourselves. This hour teaches you how.
You'll leave knowing the difference between a story and the truth in your body, and why that distinction changes everything about how you respond.
Part 3: The Intent Chamber
Led by HeatherAsh Amara & Sarina Harz-Tolbert LCSW
The final hour moves from clarity to direction.
Once you know what's true, the question becomes: where do you put your energy? Not in the abstract — specifically, today, in the situation you're actually in. HeatherAsh and Sarina will guide you into the Intent Chamber, where you'll find one word, one direction, one place to focus when everything feels urgent at once.
This hour also holds the practice of refrain, the warrior quality of choosing not to absorb, react, or fix when restraint is the wiser move. It's harder than it sounds and more powerful than most of us expect.
You'll close the workshop with something people in our community said they needed most: clarity on where you're going, a sense of direction that isn't driven by fear, and enough energy to actually move toward it. Not a to-do list. A clear next step, and the ground under your feet to take it.
“I am so grateful to HeatherAsh and the Pixie team for the opportunity of reclaiming lost parts of myself and growing into the Goddess I am becoming. The love and friendships I am developing were an unexpected bonus, but have given me a new "life" support system!”
Pamila
“I learned we really can’t do it alone. Having a sisterhood of women sharing, supporting and witnessing each other allows for new possibilities and reminds us we are not alone in our challenges.”
Alluryn
