The Warrior Heart Practice — A 3-Week Course In Staying Whole When The World Keeps Pulling You Apart
May 12–26, 2026 · Live via Zoom
Most of us have had a moment where we could see exactly what was happening, we knew we were in a story, knew we were absorbing someone else's fear, knew what we needed to do… and yet we still couldn't get our body and emotions to move in the same direction as our brain.
That's not a character flaw. Research consistently shows that knowing what to do doesn’t reliably translate into doing it — especially under stress. Most of the gap between knowing and doing comes down to something else entirely:
Practice.
Repetition.
A structure that works under pressure, not just in quiet moments of reflection.
A community doing the same work alongside you.
The kind of learning that doesn't live in your head, but settles into your body and changes how you actually move through your days.
That gap — between knowing and being able to shift your way out of it — is what this course is built to close.
The Warrior Heart Practice is a four-chamber framework: Feeling, Story, Truth, and Intent, for moving through the hard moments that knock you sideways rather than around them or under them.
It was developed by HeatherAsh Amara over decades of working with women through online programs, workshops, and retreats who were carrying too much and couldn't find their way back to themselves.
Women who were smart, self-aware, and still stuck. Women who understood their patterns and kept repeating them anyway.
The practice works because it meets you in the body, not just the mind. Because the chambers don't require calm to enter. They create it.
And because it's built to be repeatable, it stops being something you do and starts being the way you are — the way you move through difficulty before the spiral even has a chance to start.
What does that actually look like?
You’re in a conversation and suddenly feel yourself shutting down. Your chest tightens. Your mind starts building the story: “They don’t respect me. This always happens.”
Normally, you either push through, people-please, or walk away feeling resentful.
In the practice, you pause just long enough to move through the chambers:
- Feeling: tightness in your chest, heat in your face
- Story: “They don’t respect me”
- Truth: “I haven’t said what I actually need yet.”
- Intent: name one clear boundary
And then the true transformation: Circle back through the chambers to integrate your new awareness into embodied knowing and clear action.
The conversation doesn’t disappear. But you’re no longer reacting from the story. You’re choosing how to respond.
"Before, I was constantly in my thinking and self-judgment. I was so critical about myself in my experience in this world. Now I have such greater awareness of the fact that I am creating that thought and believing it without it even being true. As I slow down, it gives me more space for truth to enter in my relationships and my work. I'm making choices and decisions that feel better in my body."
Susan P.
Three weeks won't erase the patterns, conditioning, and agreements you've been practicing for decades. Real change doesn’t happen in a fixed number of days. It happens through repetition — catching the pattern, interrupting it, and choosing something different, over and over again.
Three weeks gives you enough repetition, with guidance and support, that the pattern is no longer invisible. It becomes something you can actually catch in real time.
You walk away with a solid foundation and a simple framework you've moved through enough times that you can actually implement it when you need it. On a hard Tuesday morning. In the middle of a difficult conversation. When the ground shifts again.
This isn’t something that ends when the course does.
The goal isn’t to rely on the container, it’s to build a practice you can carry into your actual life.
After the three weeks, the framework becomes something you return to — in conversations, in decisions, in the moments where you feel yourself slipping back into an old pattern.
Not perfectly. But with enough familiarity that you can catch it sooner, move through it faster, and choose something different.
That’s what makes it stick.
That's what we're building together.
Why The Warrior Heart Practice —
And Not Something Else
There's no shortage of frameworks for managing hard times. Mindfulness apps. Journaling prompts. Therapy. Coaching. Online courses about nervous system regulation.
Most of them work, to some degree. And most people who find their way to this course have tried more than one.
What's different about the Warrior Heart Practice is this: it works at the level where the actual problem lives.
Most of us don't have a thinking problem. We know, intellectually, what we should do. We know we should stop absorbing everyone else's fear. We know the story we're telling ourselves isn't entirely true. We know what we want, or we know we need to slow down long enough to find out.
It is not enough to simply understand that you should not judge yourself or to understand intellectually that you are safe even when someone is angry at you. The question is, how do you fully embody your choice and presence in each moment rather than just thinking about it or wishing for it?
The problem is that the story feels more real than the truth. The feelings are too loud to sort through. The body is carrying something the mind can't quite name.
The Warrior Heart Practice works with all of it — the feeling, the story, the truth, and the intent — in sequence, in the body, in real time. It doesn't bypass the hard parts. It gives you a structure for moving through them.
After working with this framework, people in our community describe the same shift: not that life got easier, but that they got clearer. Faster at catching themselves in a story. Better at knowing what's actually theirs. More practiced at finding their footing when the ground moves.
That's what three weeks builds.
The Unshakeable Heart Gives You
Emotional Clarity
The ability to move through a hard feeling instead of around it. Not by thinking your way through it — by feeling where it lives in your body and letting it tell you what it actually needs.
Discernment
The skill of separating what's real from what your mind is constructing. The truth is usually one sentence with a period. The story is everything that comes after.
Grounded Action
A way to find your one clear next step when everything feels urgent at once. Your intent as the thing that cuts through the noise and gives you somewhere to actually put your energy.
Steady Ground
Not the feeling of being above it all. The ability to feel everything that's happening, in the world, in your relationships, in your body, and still know where you stand.
"Before, I was searching for my purpose. Now, I know I am the purpose. I don't need fixing, just be present and listen to my heart. My attitude toward myself, and consequently toward others, has changed from criticism to curiosity and from judgment to joy."

What We'll Work Through Together
WEEK 1: Feel It, Name It
May 12–18
We start where you actually are.
This week lives in the Feeling Chamber — learning to be with what's alive in you without being consumed by it. You'll name what you're feeling, locate it in your body, and start to understand what it's telling you, separate from the story your mind is building around it.
From there, we go into one of the most essential questions of this moment: what's actually yours to carry, and what have you absorbed from everyone and everything around you?
HeatherAsh and Sarina will guide you through the difference between compassion and enmeshment, how to stay open-hearted without hollowing yourself out.
You'll also be introduced to the practice of stalking — the Toltec tool for observing your own patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. You'll leave this week with language for what you've been carrying and a body-based practice for feeling the line between what's yours and what isn't.
Meditations this week:
- Warrior Heart
- Wisdom of Feelings
- Healing Through Curiosity
WEEK 2: Tell the Truth
May 19–25
This is where the untangling happens.
You’ll be guided through the Story Chamber and the Truth Chamber. You'll learn to recognize the narratives your mind has been building around what's happening — the explanations that feel like facts, the beliefs that have been quietly running your nervous system.
Then, HeatherAsh and Sarina will show you how to find what's actually true underneath. The truth, in the Warrior Heart Practice, is simple. One sentence. No justification, no blame, no story attached. Most of us have never been taught to speak that plainly to ourselves.
This week teaches you how. And once you can feel the difference between a story and the truth in your body, everything about how you respond starts to change.
Meditations this week:
- The Wisdom of Self-Honesty
- Gaining Grace
WEEK 3: Choose and Act
May 26
From clarity to direction.
The final week moves into the Intent Chamber — finding your one clear next step when everything feels urgent at once. One word. One direction. One place to put your energy. This week also goes deep into refrain, the warrior quality of knowing when not to act. Direction and discernment together — knowing where to go and knowing what to leave behind.
And then comes what HeatherAsh calls the real potency of the practice: you go back through. Holding your intent in one hand and your truth in the other, you step back into the Story Chamber. The story that felt impossible to move looks different from where you're standing now. Sometimes it dissolves. Sometimes it doesn't — but it loses its grip. The final step is returning to the Feeling Chamber. Not where you started. Somewhere new. That's the full circle.
We'll close with building your inner community: who are your truth and intent allies, and how do you call them in?
Meditations this week:
- Calling Community
- Breathing into Freedom
What People In Our Community Say
"I used to live through my head in judgment and victim story, reactive, always on edge, in a state of fear. Working with this practice, I can witness and name my emotions while honoring them, allow them to flow through me. I'm able to take the story out of situations and encounters with people now in a way I couldn't before."
WG Community Member
"Before, I was trapped in fulfilling what I thought was expected of me. Now, I am better able to stop, ask, assess, and be more true to what I actually want. I've learned to stop and reflect before reacting. Much better at honoring what I need in a situation rather than always putting others before my needs are respected."
Kate J.
"I came in exhausted and disconnected. Now I feel more grounded, calm, more in control of my circumstances, more rooted and authentic in my relationships. What surprises me is the simplicity of the teachings, that's what brings the big changes. The key foundations of returning to yourself."

The Integration Circles
Twice during the course, on Thursday at 12pm PT, Sarina and a Warrior Goddess Mentor hold a 60-minute Integration Circle.
This isn't a re-teaching session. It's a held space to sit with what came up during the week's practice — the places where the framework feels slippery, the truth is hard to find, or something shifted and you're not sure what to do with it yet. Bring the real moment: the hard conversation you're in, the feeling you can't name, the story you keep returning to.
In the Warrior Heart Practice, the people who hold space for your truth and support your intent are called your truth and intent allies. The Integration Circles are where you build them.
People who attend consistently say these circles are as valuable as the teaching sessions themselves.
Because these sessions invite personal sharing, recordings will not be available. Come live.

You can read it alongside the live sessions, use it alongside the workbook, and return to it long after the course ends. It's a foundation you'll have in your hands — something to mark up, return to, and share.
"A powerful inquiry practice that will help anyone, from business people to athletes, from parents to those working through trauma or abuse, and from those in recovery or in big life transition to claim their courage and power and step into their most authentic self." — Dannion Brinkley, author of Saved by the Light
"This is a restorative book, full of the sort of wisdom and honesty that transforms life." — Jacob Nordby, author of Blessed are the Weird
A Note for Helping Professionals
If you work as a therapist, social worker, life coach, or in any role where you hold space for others, this course is an opportunity to go deep with a practice you can bring directly back to your clients. The Warrior Heart Practice maps cleanly onto the frameworks you already use — IFS, ACT, somatic work, narrative therapy — and when you've moved through it yourself, you'll recognize exactly where and how to introduce it in session. The difference between knowing a tool and having lived it is something your clients feel.
In addition to everything included in the course, you'll receive two supplemental resources designed specifically for clinical and coaching use: The Warrior Heart Practice in Clinical Context — a PDF mapping the four chambers to IFS, ACT, somatic work, and narrative therapy with language you can bring directly into session — and a client-facing WHP worksheet, ready to use with clients after the course. Both are included with your enrollment at no additional cost.
"My spiritual and personal growth journey had come to a standstill. I was feeling lost and like a piece of me was missing. Now I feel a deeper connection to myself and a renewed excitement about living life in a way that is more in alignment with who I am. I feel more confident in my interactions with others. I am able to better state what I need. I'm better at looking at situations without jumping to conclusions. And when I do catch myself in an old pattern, I'm able to recognize it so much sooner."

In her clinical work, she uses the Warrior Heart Practice regularly with clients navigating overwhelm, political grief, and the kind of chronic exhaustion that doesn't have a clean clinical name.
This Course Is For You If
- You've done the reading, maybe the journaling, maybe even other programs, and you still find yourself back in the same patterns when life gets hard. You're not looking for more information. You're looking for something that actually sticks.
- You feel things deeply and you absorb things easily — other people's pain, the news, the weight of what's happening — and you're not always sure where they end and you begin.
- You want to understand your own patterns — why you react the way you react, why you put yourself last in ways you keep promising to change, why the same feelings keep coming up even when you've “done the work”.
- You're tired of surviving and ready to stop running on fumes. You want tools you can reach for on a hard day, not inspiration that fades.
- You want community, not just content. Others who are practicing the same things, asking the same honest questions, and showing up for each other.
- You know the Warrior Heart Practice, you've read the book, maybe done some of the work, and you want to experience it live, facilitated, applied to what you're actually navigating right now. Not the concept, the real-time practice.
- You came to the Untangle workshop and felt something shift, and you want to make sure it doesn't just drift away when life gets loud again.
"HeatherAsh and Sarina are magical facilitators; they somehow see whatever is needed and ensure everyone feels a personal invitation to step in. The space they create is the feeling sense I hope for in all spaces I'm part of."
Emma Sharkey

If You're Sitting On The Fence
Three weeks is a real commitment. We know that.
What we also know is that the people who show up to this course aren't looking for something quick and easy. They want something that works even when time is short, conditions are messy, and the tank is already close to empty.
One woman in our community put it this way:
"I don't know if anyone is ever really ready. But you took the first step of getting the information, so now take the next one and begin a beautiful journey into curiosity. Having a community to hold space for you while you journey is so valuable. You don't have to do this alone."
— Beverly P.
"I wasn't expecting the emotions and power, or to be brought to absolute tears during the meditation. Truly, thank you."
Shae
"This community of women provides a safe place to be vulnerable and show all the messy parts without judgment."
Robin C.
"I love this community! Being able to witness others' inner beauty and vulnerability is an honor I don't take for granted. Even just that glimpse into people and feeling their energy is profound."
Bethany
You May Be Wondering…
No. The signed book ships to you at enrollment and can be read alongside the course if you choose, but is not necessary. You'll get everything you need in the course itself. If you've already read the book, the live sessions will bring the practice to life in a completely different way.
