For Those Drowning in the Swamplands of Grief
When Grief Comes Calling
A Ritual Workshop to Find Your Way Through

9am – 12pm PT | 12pm – 3pm ET
All are welcome!
Dear One,
There's a particular heaviness that shows up when grief takes residence in your body.
Maybe it arrived after a parent died.
Maybe it came with perimenopause, that strange mourning of who you used to be.
Maybe it's been building, a thousand small losses that finally caught up with you.
Or maybe it's the weight of {motions to everything}. The wars. The division. The relentless news cycles. The friendships that quietly ended. The old ways of being that no longer fit.
Grief doesn't always announce itself with tears.
Sometimes it shows up as exhaustion. Numbness.
A sense of drowning when you're just trying to make it through your morning coffee.
Or as sudden anger—snapping at people you love, overreacting to small things, feeling irritable for reasons you can't quite name.
The grief you've been carrying, whether you're ignoring it or just haven't named yet, is showing up in ways you didn't expect.
If you've been drowning in the swamplands of grief and loss, we see you. 💜
And we created this workshop for you.
What This Workshop Is All About
This isn't a workshop about "getting over" your grief or "moving through it faster."
This is about learning to be with grief in a way that doesn't destroy you. To understand its role. To metabolize it through your body so it doesn't take up permanent residence in your nervous system.
Over three hours together, you'll discover:
How to understand grief in all its forms — not just death, but the grief of who you're no longer becoming, the grief of collective trauma, the grief of transitions you didn't choose.
Ritual recipes that work with your subconscious — ancient practices adapted for modern bodies that help move grief through the four elements: earth, fire, water, and air.
Somatic practices to soothe and support yourself — gentle movement, breath work, meditation, and embodiment practices that calm your nervous system and help you find solid ground again.
Who This Is For
This is for the parts of you that are tired of pretending everything is fine. The parts drowning in overwhelm. The parts brave enough to face the tsunami and learn to swim.
This workshop is designed for anyone who is:
- Swimming in the swamplands of personal grief (loss of a parent, life transitions, identity shifts, friendship endings, aging, menopause, family estrangement)
- Carrying the weight of collective grief (war, political upheaval, climate anxiety, social division)
- Feeling overwhelmed, numb, or disconnected from yourself
- Craving practices that actually help rather than bypass
- Ready to learn how to be with your emotions instead of constantly trying to fix or avoid them
- Seeking community and witnessing during a tender time
You don't need any previous experience with ritual, meditation, or somatic work. Just bring your willingness and your tender heart.

What You'll Experience
9 am - 9:45 am Pacific
Part 1: Understanding Grief
Led by Sarina Harz-Tolbert
We begin by normalizing grief in all its messy, confusing forms. Sarina will guide you through the landscape of loss—what grief actually is, the role it plays in our healing, and why our culture's relationship with grief often leaves us drowning instead of swimming.
You'll gain language for what you've been experiencing and permission to feel exactly what you're feeling.
* 15-Minute Break
10 am - 10:45 am Pacific
Part 2: Ritual Recipes for Grief
Led by HeatherAsh Amara & Sarina Harz-Tolbert
Here's where we move from understanding to embodiment. You'll receive four ritual recipes, one for each element, that you can use immediately and return to whenever grief shows up.
- Water rituals (with HeatherAsh) for releasing and flowing
- Air rituals (with HeatherAsh) for clearing and breathing
- Earth rituals (with Sarina) for grounding and anchoring
- Fire rituals (with Sarina) for transformation and alchemy
These practices draw from multiple wisdom traditions: Toltec teachings (which HeatherAsh studied for decades with don Miguel Ruiz), earth-based rituals, and somatic therapy, adapted through a trauma-informed lens.
* 15-Minute Break
11 am - 11:45 am Pacific
Part 3: Somatic Practices for Soothing & Support
Led by Lara Rosenberg & Sarina Harz-Tolbert
You'll close the workshop with gentle, trauma-informed practices designed to regulate your nervous system and create a foundation of safety in your body.
Lara and Sarina will guide you through:
- Gentle movement and shaking to release stored emotions
- Breathwork to calm and center
- Meditation to reconnect with yourself
- Embodiment practices you can use daily
* Extended Time for Q&A as Needed
“I am so grateful to HeatherAsh and the Pixie team for the opportunity of reclaiming lost parts of myself and growing into the Goddess I am becoming. The love and friendships I am developing were an unexpected bonus, but have given me a new "life" support system!”
Pamila
“I learned we really can’t do it alone. Having a sisterhood of women sharing, supporting and witnessing each other allows for new possibilities and reminds us we are not alone in our challenges.”

Why This Workshop Is Different
Most grief support falls into two camps:
Talk therapy or support groups → Helpful for processing, but grief isn't just a mental experience. It lives in your body. Talking about it isn't always enough. And unfortunately, ongoing talk therapy isn't accessible to everyone.
General mindfulness/meditation → Can help calm your system, but doesn't give grief a specific pathway for release.
Here's what we're doing instead:
We're not focused on "stages" or rushing you through grief as quickly as possible. We're offering you practices rooted in ancient wisdom and modern trauma-informed care that help you metabolize grief through your body and subconscious, not just your thinking mind.
This workshop bridges both approaches: We combine trauma-informed understanding (Sarina's licensed therapy background) with embodied ritual practices (HeatherAsh's 35 years of experience) and somatic nervous system work (Lara's yoga therapy training).
You get the "why" (understanding what grief actually is), the "how" (specific practices that work), AND tools you can repeat whenever grief resurfaces.
This is about learning to swim in the swamplands rather than drown in them. About finding courage in the middle of the tsunami. About discovering that grief, when held with compassion and the right tools, can become a portal to deeper love and aliveness.
And perhaps most importantly: you'll discover you're not alone in this. You'll be held by a community of others carrying their own losses, people who won't try to fix you or rush you, but who will witness you with compassion.
Community itself is medicine. Being seen in your grief, exactly as you are, can be as transformative as the practices themselves.
“My Warrior Goddess Sisters, have walked beside me every step of the way, creating a circle of love, joy, play, laughter, deep growth, safety, trust, and sisterhood. I feel seen. I feel heard. I feel held, respected, honored, and loved.”
Deirdre
"I wasn't expecting the emotions and power, or to be brought to absolute tears during the meditation. Truly, thank you."
Shae
"This community of women provides a safe place to be vulnerable and show all the messy parts without judgment."
Robin C.
"I love this community! Being able to witness others' inner beauty and vulnerability is an honor I don't take for granted. Even just that glimpse into people and feeling their energy is profound."
Bethany
